Who's behind the math
TickerMath is designed, built, and maintained by Anthony Powers. One person, one standard: no number on this site that you can't check yourself.
Why this exists
Most "fair value" numbers come with the work hidden — analyst targets, consensus estimates, adjustments nobody explains. I wanted the opposite: a number built in the open, starting from a company's own SEC 10-K and 10-Q filings, carried through arithmetic anyone can follow, landing on one answer. Every company gets the same method, never tuned to flatter a name, and every read states the date of the price it used. When something's wrong, it gets fixed — if you spot a discrepancy, I want to hear about it.
What this is, and isn't
I'm not a Registered Investment Adviser or a licensed broker-dealer, and nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. TickerMath does the math and shows its work; what you do with the answer is yours.
