    What is missing
Edwards Lifesciences sold its Critical Care business to BD in September 2024. It was about a sixth of revenue, under the line where a divestiture usually breaks the base — but the free-cash-flow record does not survive it anyway: $1.4B in 2021, then $1.0B, $0.6B, $0.3B as carve-out and separation costs mounted, then $1.3B in 2025 once they cleared. Our fair value compounds from five years of free cash flow, and those five years describe a company mid-separation rather than the one that trades. 2025 is the first clean year; a five-year base that reflects it is several filings out.
